Physically Handicapped and Social Welfare Institute
The institute has been set up to work in the areas of child labour
and handicapped children.
With this agenda, the Chatra Institute runs a school for handicapped
children, has a cotton khadi production unit, a creche, provides vocational
guidance and non-formal education to children, brings out a quarterly
newsletter as well as a monthly magazine `Manal Sampad', and conducts
seminars and workshops.
The institute has touched the lives of 500 families from ten villages
so far and nearly 5000 children have participated so far in its various
activities.
