Zaranj returns to the Mughals
Zaranj is a spacious eatery offering two cuisines - Indian and Continental
.
Although this restaurant has no windows, you do not notice the lack,
because the interior is full of green plants, artificial fountains,
loose rocks and pebbles, flowing rivulets and small wooden bridges,
which create a natural setting amidst concrete surroundings.
The menu offers lots of choices in the Indian section, in which
roasted papads and a large variety of chutney are on the house.
Specialities include Murg Gulnar, Tandoori Jhinga , Zaranji Naan,
Dal Makhani and Kababs.
A meal for two costs around Rs. 1,000. Lunches, priced at Rs.250
per thali, are more affordable. Credit cards accepted.

Chalo Thai in Baan Thai
When you step into this place, you enter a little corner of Thailand.
The decor and ambience are elegant and authentic, and the menu includes
a mind boggling variety of Thai dishes. Appetisers like Yam Nor
Mai ( a tangy salad of bamboo shoots with roasted sesame seeds,
lime juice and Thai spices), or Moo Yang Jim ( pork loin salad),
set the tone. From there you could move on to soups like Tom Yam
Phak (veg) and Tom Yang Phong (prawn) - both variations of the famous
Tom Yam .
For the main course , vegetarians can try the Nor Mai Phad Khao
Pod (bamboo shoots and baby corn in fiery red curry paste) while
the non vegetarians can opt for Khai Pad Khing (stir fried chicken
with ginger, pineapple and spring onions) or the Kaeng Kiew Wan
Koong (green curry with prawns and vegetables). These can be accompanied
by Khao Phad Sappa Rod (pineapple rice ) or Phad Thai Chao Wang
(rice noodles with chicken and prawn).
Also on the list are a variety of mouth-watering desserts. These
include the exotic Tub-Tim Krob Kub Khanoon (water chestnuts with
jackfruit) and the delicious Maphraw Malibu Bod (coconut and Malibu
mousse served in coconut shells with blueberry compote).
Indulge yourself on a special occasion.
Taaja dreams
Taaja's, Bibi Sarkar’s dream restaurant, started 15 years ago in

wildly popular with students and yuppies, Taaja's evolved in a small
patio in Gol Park.

(minimum order of Rs. 350 and within a 5 km radius.) Listen to the
London Philharmonic Orchestra while savoring the exotic and delicious
coriander-garnished Cambodian mushroom soup, hot tomato soup with
Gazpacho Caliente or a Cajun Shrimp Bisque, accompanied by crispy
fried raviolis, golden fried babycorns, prawn popcorns (pakoras
), cheese sesame rolls and crab cakes. The delicious herby vinegar
marinated button Mushrooms are a crowd favourite.
Main courses include Hungarian Goulash , Greek Moussaka, Spanish
Paella (rice with spicy garlic sauce, lobster, chicken sausages
& bacon), Belgian Fricadelle (burger with paprika cream sauce),
Vietnamese Com Chay (stir-fried babycorn, mushrooms, vegetables
with rice), Indonesian Ayam Bali and Nasi Goreng (fried chicken
and special fried rice), Thai Red and Green Curries (in chicken,
fish, prawn and babycorn), Italian Lasagnes and Spiralis (pasta
