Mobile launched MobileCommerce powered by Citibank,
Power Messaging Services, Mobile Long Distance and Internet
e-mail on your mobile.
 MobileCommerce: BPL Mobile has announced the
launch of MobileCommerce, in exclusive patnership with Citibank. It
gives the customer the ability to transact on-line, and in real-time
through his BPL mobilephone. BPL Mobile's Transactional Mobile
Banking is just the first step to this end. With Transactional
Mobile Banking, one can transfer funds, check balances, pay mobilephone
bills, make credit card payments, book deposits, stop cheque payment,
resquest cheque books and more. Shortly, additional services will
be added to MobileCommerce, making visits to the bank a thing of the
past. Transactional Mobile Banking is easy to operate. All you have
to do is send simple text messages through your mobile phone and leave
the hassles of banking to BPL Mobile and Citibank. Citibank account
holders and Citibank credit card customers are beneficiaries of this
service.
POWER MESSAGING: It offers 20 information services. Some
of the services are Sending and Receiving Messages, Utility,
Entertainment, Emergency and Business.
 Utility: This feature
provides the latest sport, national and international news. It also
provides information on day and night taxi and autorickshaw services
and tariff fares, addresses of nearest ATM centres, train schedules,
city-wise weather reports for the next four days and STD/ISD codes.
Entertainment: The best way to plan an evening out. With
this service one can choose movies, hangouts and pubs, one would
like to go to. If you want to find out the current show running
at Eros theatre, you do not have to scan the newspaper. Just key
in Move Eros, send the Power Message to 333 and get the details
of the movie running and the show timings, instantly.
Emergency: For ambulances, blood banks, chemists, police,
hospitals, fire stations, BEST and BSES information nearest to you.
Just key in E (emergency) A (Ambulance) Dadar and send it to 333,
to get a Power Message with the name, address, telephone number
of the ambulance service in Dadar and around.
Business: Access live stock quotes (the latest traded rate
and time of the trade) and forex rates of all the major currencies
on the move. One has to key in FOREX USD and send it to 333 to get
the US dollar rate in an instant, wherever you are.
Mobile Long Distance: This revolutionary feature allows
subscribers to make prepaid STD/ISD calls from the existing mobile
number and this feature can be activated for a low activation fee.
Internet e-mail on the mobile: All BPL mobile subscribers
can send or receive Internet e-mail on their mobiles. From now onwards
all BPL mobile subscribers can dispatch or receive Internet e-mail
to or from any corner in the world from their mobilephone. Your
